ABS Group is providing DOT PHMSA with a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, data analysts, data processors, developers, and analytical experts capable of responding to a wide range of data-related tasks. Under this project, ABSG is conducting process audits on data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to improve analysis techniques and tools. During the audits, we evaluate routine analyses and facilitate working sessions/interviews with Incident Data Operations, Approvals and Special Permits staff or other personnel involved in data collections within DOT to understand current processes and identify potential process gaps or inefficiencies. The team is reviewing the quality of results coming from the existing process and identifying pain points or deficiencies which might be addressed by automation or analytics processes. ABSG is implementing selected recommendations identifying opportunities for efficiency, improvement, and automation and evaluation of opportunities for improvement.
